Getting started
What areas of Denver do you serve?
Keep Denver Wagging serves a compact route in northwest and central Denver plus Edgewater, north Lakewood, and Wheat Ridge: ZIP codes 80211, 80212, 80204, 80202, 80214, 80215, 80033. Not sure? Send your ZIP code when you request a meet & greet and you’ll get a straight yes or no.
A tight service area is deliberate: less driving between dogs means more reliable arrival windows and fewer rushed visits.
Do I meet my dog walker first?
Yes. Every new client starts with a meet & greet at home, where you, your dog, and Cissy meet before any paid visit.
You’ll walk through your dog’s routine, leash and harness, feeding, house rules, and how Cissy will get in. If it isn’t a good fit for either side, you’ll hear that honestly.
Will the same person care for my dog every time?
Yes. Keep Denver Wagging is owner-led: Cissy does the walks and visits herself, so your dog sees one familiar person instead of a rotating list of walkers.
Walks and visits
Are walks private or in a group?
Walk format is confirmed at your meet & greet, based on your dog’s temperament and needs.
Dogs stay on leash, as Denver’s leash law requires on city streets and in most parks.
Do you send photos or updates after a visit?
How you’ll hear about each visit is agreed at your meet & greet so you get updates the way you prefer.
Do you walk in snow or summer heat?
Yes, with adjustments. On hot days walks move earlier or later and stay on shaded routes and grass; in snow and ice they slow down, stick to cleared sidewalks, and check paws for ice and de-icer.
Denver pavement can get far hotter than the air on sunny summer afternoons, and sidewalk de-icers can irritate paws in winter. Length and route change to keep your dog comfortable.
Can you care for puppies, senior dogs, or reactive dogs?
Tell us about your dog when you request a meet & greet. Fit is decided honestly in person, and you won’t be booked for care that isn’t right for your dog.
Short Quick Wag visits suit dogs that need frequent, brief breaks rather than long walks. As a rough guide, young puppies can hold it for about 1 hour per month of age, up to around 6 hours or so for adults, so pups under 4 months often need a midday break.
Your home and safety
How do you handle keys and home access?
Access is agreed at your meet & greet: a lockbox, door code, or key, plus alarm instructions if you have one. Details are kept private and used only for your visits.
What happens in an emergency?
Your care plan records your vet, an emergency contact, and how you want to be reached, so there’s a plan before anything goes wrong. Ask at your meet & greet how emergencies are handled.
Are you insured and bonded?
Yes. Keep Denver Wagging is insured and bonded through Pet Care Insurance. Proof is available on request.
Are you pet CPR and first-aid trained?
Training details will be published here once confirmed. Ask at your meet & greet.
Pet sitting and overnights
What is included in a pet sitting visit?
A drop-in visit covers what your pet needs while you’re away: a potty break, medication if needed, fresh water, meals on your schedule, and lots of love. Visits are 30 minutes ($32) or 60 minutes ($52); the hour-long visit includes a walk. For a quick stop, a 15-minute potty break is $20.
Medication can be given as instructed.
What does overnight pet sitting mean?
Overnight sitting means Cissy sleeps at your home so your pets aren’t alone overnight, from dinner time until just after breakfast. It’s $125 per night for up to 3 pets.
The exact arrival time, departure time, and any daytime gaps are written into your care plan before you leave, so there are no surprises.
Need someone during the day too? Add a midday visit for $10–$20, depending on length.
Do you take care of cats?
Yes. A 15-minute cat visit is $20: food, fresh water, a litter check, and company while you’re away.
What is your cancellation policy?
Walks, drop-in visits, potty breaks, and cat visits: cancel at least 24 hours before the start time at no charge. With less than 24 hours’ notice, the visit is charged in full.
Overnight stays and care booked while you travel need a card on file and a 50% deposit to confirm. Cancelling less than 3 weeks before the start date is charged 50% of the total.
