How it works

How getting started with Keep Denver Wagging works

Four steps: tell us about your pet, meet Cissy at home, confirm your care plan and access, then start your walks or visits. You’ll know exactly who is coming and what happens on every visit before you pay for anything.

The four steps

  1. Step 1: Tell us about your pet

A short request: your dog, your Denver neighborhood or ZIP, and the care you need.

  2. Step 2: Meet Cissy

A meet & greet at your home to meet your dog and walk through the routine together.

  3. Step 3: Confirm care plan & access

Schedule, house rules, emergency contacts, and exactly how she’ll get in.

  4. Step 4: Start wagging

Walks or visits begin with the same familiar person each time.

Step 2

What happens at a pet-care meet & greet?

Cissy comes to your home, meets your dog, and you walk through the routine together. It’s a chance for both of you to decide whether it’s a good fit before any paid visit.

  • Your dog meets Cissy on home turf, at their own pace
  • Leash, harness, and how your dog walks best
  • Feeding, treats, house rules, and quirks
  • Where supplies live and which areas are off-limits
  • Your questions, answered in person

Any meet & greet fee is stated before it’s scheduled.

Step 3

How is home access handled?

Access is agreed in person at the meet & greet, with a lockbox, door code, or key, plus alarm steps, and written into your care plan instead of being sent on the day.

Care plan

Your dog’s schedule, feeding, walk length, and house rules, written down once and followed every visit.

Emergency contacts

Your vet, a local backup contact, and how you want to be reached are on file before care begins.

Questions to ask any sitter

Who exactly will come in? How is my key stored? What happens if you’re sick? Ask them here, and ask them anywhere.

Step 4

How do scheduling, updates, and payment work?

Once your care plan is set, walks or visits are scheduled with Cissy directly, and you hear from her after visits the way you agreed at the meet & greet.

Recurring schedules (the same days and times each week) are the easiest to keep reliable, and they’re set up together after the meet & greet. Payment methods and timing are confirmed in writing before your first visit.

Getting-started questions

Will the same person care for my dog every time?

Yes. Keep Denver Wagging is owner-led: Cissy does the walks and visits herself, so your dog sees one familiar person instead of a rotating list of walkers.

What happens in an emergency?

Your care plan records your vet, an emergency contact, and how you want to be reached, so there’s a plan before anything goes wrong. Ask at your meet & greet how emergencies are handled.

What is your cancellation policy?

Walks, drop-in visits, potty breaks, and cat visits: cancel at least 24 hours before the start time at no charge. With less than 24 hours’ notice, the visit is charged in full.

Overnight stays and care booked while you travel need a card on file and a 50% deposit to confirm. Cancelling less than 3 weeks before the start date is charged 50% of the total.

Happy Denver dogs

Step 1 takes about two minutes.

Tell us about your dog and your neighborhood. Cissy will reply to set up a meet & greet at your home, with no commitment until you’re both happy.
